We have observed that seasonal workers from Central and Eastern Europe who come to Germany are increasingly causing problems instead of delivering the efficient work that fruit and vegetable producers expect.

Unfortunately, many staffing agencies prioritize quantity over quality. They don’t check candidates’ motivation or reliability; they simply send them to work in Germany. They consider the job done and collect their payment.

Even hiring such a person involves considerable effort: drawing up an employment contract, registering with the tax office, customs, and health insurance, and providing accommodation.

Unfortunately, these workers often don’t even have enough money to cover travel expenses and expect the employer to cover them.

Furthermore, they typically bring very little with them, so employers have to provide food, work clothes, shoes, trousers, and even toiletries, among other things. The initial costs increase even before the temporary worker has started.

It often turns out that the employee is simply lazy and unable to perform the expected work – resulting in their dismissal and being sent home at the employer’s costs.

That’s why Vreespol aims to simplify the process for vegetable producers, allowing them to focus on their core business during the harvest season without having to manage each individual seasonal worker. 

We not only provide seasonal workers but also handle all related duties and responsibilities for you. This includes verifying the worker’s motivation, covering travel expenses, handling employment-related paperwork, providing health insurance, and even addressing everyday needs such as food, internet access, and even providing bedding and rubber boots.

How do we recruit?

Our recruitment interviews take place six times a week at seven different locations: Gorzów Wielkopolski, Pyrzyce, Myślibórz, Trzcińsko-Zdrój, Pełczyce, Gryfino, and Barlinek. We personally travel to each location to meet the candidates, assess their skills and motivation, and select the best candidates for you.

Lazy people have no chance with us.

Vreespol employs only hardworking Polish workers who live within a 150 km radius of our location, allowing us to pick them up directly from their homes.

In the next step, we hire the candidates as temporary workers under a German employment contract and handle all related formalities, including employment contracts, medical examinations, insurance, and vacation costs.

This means that our temporary workers are employed under German labor law. We pay taxes and all other costs, such as long-term care insurance, pension insurance, and health insurance, in Germany, so our temporary workers are covered by German health insurance.

After we’ve agreed on the details, we transport the temporary workers directly to your company in our own minibuses and, together with your supervisors, accompany them during their onboarding. A German-speaking coordinator from Vreespol will be on-site for the first few days to ensure that all your tasks and instructions are translated clearly and understandably, preventing any misunderstandings. This eliminates any language barriers with the new employees.

The temporary workers we provide bring their own food, bedding, and kitchen equipment. If needed, we can also provide a refrigerator and a hot plate. In addition, the workers bring their own cutlery, pots, glasses, plates, and personal hygiene items. We also provide them with rubber boots so they can work even in adverse weather conditions.

Vreespol’s temporary workers are fully prepared for work, so you don’t need to provide any cash advance. We will reimburse you for the daily accommodation fee per worker.

At the end of the month, you will invoice us for the days our employees were staying at your accommodation. Upon request, we can also provide company car as well with a driver for temporary workers so they can easily travel to different work sites.

Flexibility and efficient working models

We adapt flexibly to your work schedule and offer a proven 7/7 or 14/14 shift system upon request. This allows for seven consecutive days of ten-hour shifts – including weekends and holidays. This is followed by a seven- or fourteen-day break, during which a new team seamlessly takes over. This means that for each position, two temporary workers, A and B, are always available, alternating within the customized shift system.

The same trained personnel always return to work after their rest periods. Temporary workers can be employed by you for up to 18 months under the Temporary Employment Act to ensure smooth operations. We have been working according to this model for over 12 years and can provide references from our business partners upon request.

Fair and legal cooperation

We are a fair temporary staffing agency with a valid, permanent license for temporary employment. We pay the legally required hourly wages as well as all personnel costs, including health and accident insurance and pension contributions. Our temporary workers are employed by us under German law and with a German employment contract. They have German health insurance and pay taxes on the work they perform for you, which also supports the German economy.

How much does all this cost?

Our pricing is structured to appeal to both small businesses and large corporations. We work with companies that require only a single temporary worker, as well as large firms that need 40 temporary workers per shift. Both types of business partners are equally important to us.

You will receive two invoices: one in the middle of the month and one at the end of the month, each with a payment term of 14 days. Regardless of the number of employees, the entire monthly collaboration will be concluded with these two payments.

  4. We will assume full responsibility for payroll and timekeeping.
